Effective October 7, 2026

1. Purposes and information collected

Pyeong An Law Firm processes personal information to receive and review applications, contact applicants, save and restore draft applications, respond to website inquiries, protect website access and understand website usage.

This policy concerns use of this website. Information processed for an engagement or individual legal matter is subject to the notice applicable to that matter.

  • Required for online applications: photograph, Korean name, gender, date of birth, email, mobile number, address, preferred practice area, at least one education record, personal statement and records of consent to collection and use.
  • Additional information entered or uploaded by applicants: Hanja and English names, home and emergency contact details, military service, veterans and disability information, education, grades and class rank, bar examination information, employment, internships and overseas experience, languages, qualifications, awards, other entries, personal statement files and supporting documents.

  • Information arising during use: access requests and IP addresses, hashed IP and email values for request limits, draft identifiers, visited pages, times, browser or device environment and analytics cookie identifiers.

Entries may include health-related information such as disability status. Read the collection, use and sensitive information consent notice on the application screen. Redact unnecessary resident registration numbers and other people's personal information from supporting documents before submission.

Information is received through application entries, uploads, draft saves and email or telephone inquiries. You may refuse required collection and use consent, but cannot submit an online application without it.

2. Retention periods

  • Draft applications and attachments: 14 days from the last draft save. Saving again renews the period.
  • Submitted online applications and attachments: one year from the vacancy's hiring end date. If no hiring end date exists, the application deadline is used; if neither date exists, the submission date is used.
  • Website inquiry information: retained until the purpose, such as responding to the inquiry, has been fulfilled.
  • Request-limit hashes: values used to limit daily recruitment requests and email sending are retained for 24 hours.

Expired online applications are deleted together with their linked attachments. Where information must be retained under law, the period and scope specified by that law apply.

The application periods above concern records in the online application system. Email copies and sending records, access information and analytics are subject to separate service retention settings. Please use the contact details below for inquiries about those records.
